American Brain Tumor Foundation: A comprehensive brain tumor site. Very resourceful and supportive.

American Cancer Society: The Grandaddy of them all. Up to the date articles on breakthroughs and new cancer treatments. Suits all types of cancer.

National Brain Tumor Foundation: Another comprehensive brain tumor site including features such as "Survivor's Story" and "Physician Interview" as well as "treatment and rehabilitation" and "Clinical Trials."

National Cancer Institute: A good government website dealing with all types of cancer. Excellent referrals to other sites including PDQ.

UCLA Neurooncology: This one I'm a little bias to, as my doctor and treatment is through UCLA Neurooncology. Very nice website. Informative. I feel I am getting the best care possible.

Virtual Trials: This site is focused on treatments. Anything from Clinical Trials to chemo and radiation. A nice resource for those looking for the right meds.

The Wellness Community: I personally attend the West L.A. TWC. I go to young adult support groups, attend workshops, and take T'ai Chi. Highly reccomended!

Cedar Sinai Medical Center Neurosurgical Institue: A thorough site detailing Cedar's Neurosurgical Institue. Features the infamous Dr. Keith Black. Well worth exploring

The Wellness Community West Los Angeles: Strongly recommended. I attend the Young Adults Cancer Support Group at this particular Wellness Community. A very tight group of survivors. Inspirational and empowering. Plenty of free and informative seminars and workshops. Excellent facilitators. Check it out!

My fiance is 31. In March 2006 he was diagnosed with Anaplastic Astrocytoma Grade III. He had surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. He continues his chemotherapy. He wanted to turn this "negative" diagnosis into a positive situation. Therefore, he started a campaign to obtain a Brain Tumor AWareness License Plate in VA. We need to collect 350 prepaid applications for the DMV to create the plate, and once 1000 have been purchased, a portion of the proceeds will go toward brain tumor research. We need help spreading the word: www.braintumorawarenessplate.com
